The 6860 galvanometer series combines Cambridge Technology's Moving Magnet Actuator technology and our patented moving dielectric capacitive position detector design. This combination offers superior positioning speed and higher resolution accuracy and repeatability of any moving magnet galvanometer. The 6860 family scanning systems can be designed and optimized for speed, size, cost and accuracy with typical beam diameters between 5 and 30 mm.

 


 


Features
High Position Accuracy and Repeatability: with Moving Magnet Actuators CTI's innovative capacitive position detector provides the highest resolution accuracy and repeatability in a moving magnet galvanometer design. This capacitive position detector coupled with the positioning precision of the moving magnet actuator provides high positioning linearity, repeatability and stability over time and temperature. In combination with our 671 servo drivers, the 6860 models can achieve 8 microradians short term repeatability.
Galvo Speeds and Step Response Times: The 6860 series is specially designed to maximize the system's performance for high speed applications. With our advanced actuator design in conjunction with our 678 servo drivers, the 6860 series can reach speeds up to 1 kHz with step response times in the 0.5 millisecond range for small angle movements.
