28th Oct. morning in the Peace Ballroom held IEC/TC 76 (Optical Radiation Safety and Laser Equipment) second Plenary meeting, experts from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, and China a total of 49 people attended the meeting. The meeting presided over by IEC/TC 76 General Secretary Mr. William Ertle. 
 

 

At the very beginning, IEC/TC 76 Chairman Mr. Thomas Lieb highly praised people those who had made outstanding contributions to IEC/TC 76, and applauded to them. In the second part, Mr.William Ertle used detailed number illustrated news from IEC CO. It was including New edition of ISO/IEC directives, SMB (Standardization Management Board) decisions, Drafting IEC publications, IEC code, web tools for IEC expert and young professoinals. In the third part, the convenors of each work group summarized their work progress and appreciated everybody in this meeting today.The secretary of WG3 specially expressed thankfulness to China delegate Mr. Yuqiang Deng from National Institute of Metrology, for his creative comments to the IEC TR 60825-13 documents. In the fourth part, Mr. William Ertle presided the voting, thirteen items were made unanimous approval by the representatives of participating countries. At the end, Mr. Thomas Lieb highly praised the organization of this meeting, thanks for Ms. Yan Qi and organization team. Everyone applauded to them. Next IEC/TC 76 meeting will be held in Milan Italy in September or October of 2017.
