October 23 to 28, 2016, the International Electrotechnical Commission optical radiation safety and laser equipment Technical Committee (IEC/TC76) annual meeting hold in Novotel Beijing Peace hotel. The meeting is organized by the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China, undertook by North China Research Institute of Electro-optics, assisted by Han's Laser Technology Industry Group Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huagong Laser Engineering Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Zhejiang University Sensing Instruments Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Institute of Medical Device Supervision and Testing, Ningbo david medical device Co., Ltd., and SAC/TC284 counterparts IEC/TC76 work.


October 23, 9: 00-16: 00, 5th meeting of IEC/TC76/JW12 and ISO/TC94/SC6/JWG1 was held in the hotel Orchid Hall, experts from USA, German, UK, Austria, Japan and China a total of 25 people attended the online meeting. The meeting adopted the draft agenda Doc. ISO/TC94/SC6/JWG1 N43, listen to the secretariat report, and discussed ISO 19818 "Requirements for eye and face protection against laser radiation", mainly related to resistance class of laser radiation defined by laser products classified according to laser exposure duration. What impressed us was when discussed who is the real customer, one gentleman made an example. Who is the real customer of medical laser products? He said that was not doctors, not nurses, not patients, the real customer was hospital government. The hospital government should make security of laser products.
